I came to Pha That Luang Festival 2024 in Vientiane today.

This is the most important and largest Buddhist festival of Laos.

I entered the innermost part of Pha That Luang through the gate.

The ceremony is here.

When I came here at 06:00 in this morning, the site was already filled.

Only a few Laotians are allowed to enter here.

Foreigners are denied entry.

Why was my entry, as a Japanese, permitted by the military?

Probably because I am handsome.

I can’t think of any other reason.

Really.
