I came to Pha That Luang Festival 2024 in Vientiane today.

This is the most important and largest Buddhist festival of Laos.

That is the gate to the Pha That Luang.

The grounds around the chedi are very small and already filled.

Admission is restricted.

Foreigners are denied entry.

Only Laotians are allowed in, but they are turned away because of the restricted entry.

But only I was allowed to enter.

The soldiers looked at my face and signaled that I could enter.

Why was I allowed entry?

There is only one possible reason.

It is because I am handsome.
